# Casa Gaviota Barú

> Private beach house on Isla Barú, near Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. Hosts one group at a time, for overnight stays (up to 10 guests) or private day trips. Bookings are arranged directly over WhatsApp or email.

- Location: Sector Punta Piedra, Isla Barú, Cartagena de Indias, Bolívar, Colombia (10.2398, -75.5144). Roughly 1–1.5 hours from Cartagena; the final stretch is always by boat.
- House: 3 private bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, strictly one group at a time (maximum 10 overnight guests), quiet beach without vendors, private dock, kayak. Starlink satellite Wi-Fi with battery backup for continuous power, suitable for remote work. Open-air Caribbean architecture with fans in all bedrooms; no air conditioning. A rustic house, not a hotel or resort.
- Pricing: accommodation is quoted per date and group size; there is no fixed nightly rate. Private day trips start from COP 1,000,000 for private use of the whole house and beach, quoted per group. Meals (Full Experience) are COP 150,000 per adult per night and COP 100,000 per child aged 5–17 per night; under 5 free.
- Day-trip transport: the round-trip boat from Barú village is always included; transport from Cartagena can be arranged on request (private boat from COP 800,000 each way, depending on group size).
- Food: Basic Experience is exclusive use of the house with an equipped kitchen for self-catering. Full Experience adds a dedicated cook preparing 3 meals a day.
- Nearby: Aviario Nacional de Colombia about 15 minutes away; Islas del Rosario about 20 minutes by private boat.
- Payment: credit or debit card, Wompi, Bold, Bancolombia bank transfer, or cash on site.
- Overnight stays: check-in 11:00, check-out 08:00 (local time).
- Booking: send dates on WhatsApp; a 50% deposit confirms the reservation. Asking or receiving a quote does not hold dates.
