It was wonderful.

They put so much effort to make our stay the best possible. The beach is lovely and it’s a great place to relax. Also the kayak was great. The cooks did an amazing job and the juices were great.
One should know that as of the remote location there is sometimes a shortage of water.
So if you don’t expect a luxury hotel, you’ll have the best time ever! I highly recommend this place for groups!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Option 1: Private transportation (car + boat)

Cost: 500,000 COP ($125 USD) for up to 5 people, 600,000 COP ($150 USD) for up to 10 people (one way).
Our assistant will pick you up from your hotel or airport, take you to the supermarket, then drive you to the town of Barú. From there, a boat will take you to the house.

Option 2: Private boat transportation

Cost: 750,000 COP ($190 USD) one way (up to 8 people).
Our assistant will pick you up from your hotel or airport, take you to the supermarket, and then to the private boat for a direct trip to Casa Gaviota.

Option 3: Organize your own transportation

The final stretch must always be by boat.

You can arrange your own boat or a combination of car + boat.

To reach the house, tell the boatman: “Casa Gaviota, Barú Beach House, in Punta Blanca, where Manuel.”

Provided at Casa Gaviota:

Water for personal hygiene.

Sheets and towels.

Food (if you choose the food service).

Starlink Internet with a Backup Generator

If you do not choose the food service:

It is recommended to buy groceries, including drinking water, in Cartagena (cheaper and more variety).

Our assistant or driver can accompany you for shopping.

The nearest store is in Barú town (20 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by boat).

A nearby hotel (Barú Playa Eco Hotel) offers food and Wi-Fi.

The cleaning fee is included in the rent.

Yes we do. We have Starlink Internet and if power goes out a power generator.

So if you have to work you can do so safely and comfortably.
